Company names that contain words like Bank, Finance Company, Insurance, School, University, Travel Agent, Media, etc. must first be approved by the Utah Company Registration regulatory authority before they can be used.
Step 2 Filing Articles of Organization
Once you've reserved a company name, you can proceed to register your company and file articles of organization. Articles of organization are legal documents that establish your business, and must be approved by the Utah Division of Corporations before you do business under that business name.
If your articles of organization meets the current legislated requirements established by the Utah Secretary of State, the Utah Division of Corporations, will process the request and issue you an Utah certificate of registration.
