Company names that contain words like Bank, Finance Company, Insurance, School, University, Travel Agent, Media, etc. must first be approved by the Vermont Company Registration regulatory authority before they can be used.
Step 2 Filing Articles of Organization
Once you've reserved a company name, you can proceed to register your company and file articles of organization. Articles of organization are legal documents that establish your business, and must be approved by the Virginia Corporations Commission before you do business under that business name.
If your articles of organization meets the current legislated requirements established by the Virginia Secretary of State, the Virginia Corporations Commission, will process the request and issue you a Virginia certificate of registration.
